This place suits me perfectly, offering free wi-fi, a fitness centre, and a beautiful indoor pool. I'll never forget how the staff helped me recover my headphones during my first visit. I highly recommend it for a relaxing stay. I'm coming back for Christmas!

The room was big with an electric kettle, central heating, an iron and ironing board.
Fairly clean hotel in a marvellous location, lovely bed. Exceptional and exceptionally nice staff team especially the receptionist. 100 metres to the bus stop.

The swimming pools indoors and out were lovely, lots of places to eat and have coffee.
What I did not like too much was it was a little to big and inpersonal for my likeing, breakfast was O.k, but not great.

Consider asking for a room on a higher floor to avoid noise from guests above you.

Friendlyness of staff and location.
Hotel was quite dated and shower clip was broken in our bathroom. Worst of all no air-con in the rooms.

Whilst I was staying for just one night there was plenty to do, if I had time activities include a gym, swimming pool as well as a very good cabaret. The breakfast was very good and was ample even for one who has a good appetite.
I last stayed at the hotel over thirty years ago on my honeymoon, unfortunately the decor in the bedrooms does not seem have been updated during this time. Although the public rooms have been updated to a high standard. The lift in hotel did not work properly and I believe has been a problem for a number of months, as the Hotel is popular with coach parties (avoid the hotel if they are not to your taste) there were a lot of elderly people who relied on the lift, so the stairs were the best option most of the time

Loved this recently refurbished hotel, easy to find, with efficient staff especially the receptionist. The location was magnificent and ideal for me. Having different soft drinks in the poolside bar was a very nice touch.

The staff were in the main friendly and helpful. Plenty of facilities for families. Breakfast was ok although the seating process needs to be reveiwed and the Aztec Bistro food was excellent.
As a family group we had 13 rooms, some for 2 nights some for 1 night. Even for a 2* hotel the bedrooms badly need upgrading, one room had a badly sloping floor and the shower was barely a trickle. Most of the rooms had threadbare carpets and badly needed decorating. Worst of all one of our group went to make a cup of tea and found vomit in the kettle. After complaining to reception they were provided with a pot of tea from the kitchen and a promise of a replacement kettle without much of an apology, the replacement kettle didn't materialise. Disgusting and shows the cleaning staff need to be checking the kettles daily. I wouldn't recomend to others or return at this stage.

perfect base to explore torquay's gems
I really enjoyed my stay here, especially being just a few steps from the lively Artizan Gallery and less than a 5-minute walk to the beautiful Royal Terrace Gardens, made my city strolls good and full of surprises.

Swimming pool area, is the only thing that I believe is the reason we stay at this hotel.
We have been coming to this hotel for over 20 years, each time we are asked I'd we have stayed before, where is the loyalty and good customer service!

Convenient location. Breakfast was good. Free parking and helpfull staff
For the money paid, the hotel was noisy, tired looking (entrance, lobby and hallway in desperate need of refurbishment), pictures on website are very flattering

Fun, Fun, Fun
We had an absolute blast ! The indoor pool complex was a family favorite, with heated pools and a vibrant atmosphere keeping everyone entertained. Plus, the variety of evening entertainment like bingo and kids' discos made for lovely memories together!
